The clients are based abroad and wanted to have a vacation home in the Philippines. Jennifer took the clients’ list of requirements and created a hotel-resort-inspired interior.

The living room has a neutral palette, helping the wood tones from the furnishings stand out and add a touch of warmth. Meanwhile, the bedrooms were given a minimalist treatment. The master bedroom has green walls and wooden floors to create the relaxing ambience the clients wanted. The girls’ room, on the other hand, has purple paint accents. Then another room has a very distinct black wall accented by white wooden blocks designed to create a “falling rain effect”. Cutting and installing these blocks took three months to complete.

All in all, the warm tones, neutral palettes, and other design elements helped the clients achieve the home away from home they wanted.

A story on this project appeared on the Feburary-April 2011 issue of Space Magazine.
